Zoning On Samui

Featured Replies

Does anyone here know the zones? Chaweng? Lamai...areas outside these?

Or does Samui still remain a law unto itsaelf!?

Rob

Samui has so far not been zoned, however the island has its own opinions on what sort of nightlife it wants and they are pretty much along the views of Purachai and his vision for Bangkok.

Don't know about Lamai or Soi Green Mango but I know that most of the owners in Soi Reggae where concerned that they would have to close at 12.00 but now with the U turn who knows....

"Carry on as normal". This is essentially what all bar owners were told at a meeting this afternoon held by the police in Nathon. It might change but they'll let us know first.....(or we might pay some sort of tax or get a licence allowing us to stay open until 2 a.m.....) - Paying seems the more likely option as the police even chose to catch people on the way out of the meeting riding without crashelmets on!!!
