BANGKOK, Jan 15 - The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is operating normally today but its main office public entrances and exits are closed.

SET's main office next to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) is closed following reports that the Network of Students and People for Reform of Thailand (NSPRT) will demonstrate at the building.

Investors can nonetheless place their buying/selling stock orders through the SET online system despite its office closure.

QSNCC has closed its doors next to the bourse as well, leaving only the main gate for public entrances and exits.

Those wishing to contact Thailand Securities Depository Company, situated at the SET building, are asked to call 02-354-2087 for more information.

Security personnel are monitoring the situation at the SET office. Police from Lumpini Station are patrolling constantly.

Meanwhile, Central Pattana Plc (CPN) announced that CentralWorld Department Store is open from 11am-6pm today.

Platinum Fashion Mall, the country's largest wholesale and retail centre, is open during normal hours today, from 8am-8pm.

Both malls said they are closely monitoring and assessing the situation. Any updates will be announced. (MCOT online news)

Market is open. Baht is stable/USD, up against GBP. Life goes on pretty much as usual
