Mini-van from Bangkok to Laem Sok Pier --> Koh Kood

Featured Replies

We will be traveling to Koh Kut (Koh Kood) in late March and will spend a couple of days in Koh Chang too. We've been to Koh Chang before and have taken the mini-van from Suvarnabhumi through Chantaburi all the way to Koh Chang. But this time we are arriving late at night in Bangkok (Don Mueang) and will need to start out early the next morning from wherever it is we will stay the night. I thought we would go to Koh Kut first for a couple of days and then to Koh Chang.

How do we find a mini-van to get to the pier at Laem Sok, Trat? Do we have to go to Victory Monument or someplace to get the mini-van? We will need to leave by 7:00.

Thanks in advance for anyone's help.

Edit: I see there are mini-vans from Victory Monument to Trat (Ao Thamachat – Laem Ngop) starting at 6:00 but not to Laem Sok. Anyone know if there are direct routes to Laem Sok?

There is no minivan service going directly to Laem Sok, except for private minivans. Maybe there are minivans to Trat Bus Station from where you can book a boat ticket with free pick-up.

The new catamaran (Boonsiri Ferry) has 1 daily minivan from Bangkok directly to Laem Sok in combination with a boat ticket (13h30 Laem Sok), departure between 7am and 8am from Khao San Road or Shell Bang Na :-)
