Bought an iphone 4s from a booth (bad move i realise now), it recognises DTAC and TRUE sims, but won't recognise my AIS sim. The phone has a weird serial no. too, some guy in a phone shop suggested that it was designed for the USA market (?)...any ideas out there ?...can anybody help me get this phone to recognise an AIS sim....... Telewiz and the Apple store couldn't.....

hi, ok.... Model A1387 EMC 2430 FCC ID; BCG-2430A IC; 579C-E2430A.....really appreciate any help on this.... thanks

Weird. The 4s A1387 should work in all major frequencies. They never made a specific CDMA or US version. However they did sell some models in the US late 2012 till now that if unlocked had the CDMA frequency blocked. Bit AIS is not using that type of network.

Have you tried other AIS SIM cards? Maybe sim is broken. Alternative the phone is faulty and only the band used by AIS doesn't work, but that sounds very unlikely.

So..if the phone's faulty, can i take it to any Apple shop to get it fixed, it's les than 1 yr old, how does that work out warranty wise in the LOS ?
