Koh Chang

Hi there,

I'm planning to go to Koh Chang for a change next year.

Has any body been there? How can you compare it with Koh Samui ( Thats my favourite place)

Also can you find cheap accomiodation there for 1or 2 months.

We have a budget of max 21000 bath per month. I know in Samui you can get some lovely modern bungalows for that.

Any advice more than welcome,

Thanks very much!

Can't really compare it to Samui...VERY little to do....Whitesands is the busiest resort...And that is only as busy as somewhere like Bophut on Samui...

Personally, I like a beach bar in the day on Whitesands called 15 Palms...owned by a Brit I believe..But don't let that put you off....nice sounds... :D

No big clubs, bars, discos, girly scene...Not that many "quality" restaurants...Whitesands is like Chaweng, 10-15 years ago...

Just a place to chill-out for a weeek or two IMHO...Although, next time I go I want to check out Koh Maak and Koh Kood which are supposed to be very nice and VERY VERY quiet...

1 or two months and you might start to go nuts... :o

Very nice bungalows can be had for about 1000 a night but I'm sure they'd do a deal for long term...

Look at www.iamkohchang.com to get a flavour of the place...

Enjoy your trip... :D

Well that seems great to me.

We spend 2 months in bophut last year cause we love the feel of the place.

But that does have some quality restaurants though!!!

We don't really Chaweng cause thats just too busy.

As long as it has a few lively bars then that will be fine. Or has it not got that either?

I'll check out the website you told me about.

Thanks very much
