Does anyone know where to get replacement remote controls for the door locks/security system for a truck without having to buy an entirely new security system?

Mine are worn and the shop I visited told me I had to change the entire security system.

I'd ask the guys repairing cell phones in shopping malls. If they can't surely they know someone who can.

i know its a silly question but have u tried replacing the battery in the remote?

If the unit was installed as part of the original equipment, you will find them available on eBay for around $ 15 USD each.

If the unit was after market, contact the manufacturer, they all sell the remotes as part of their after sales service.

As sted it depends on the equipment in the car.. You need to match the remote up with the Rx equipment inside as they are not all purpose (unless your using a car theft grabber type system but thats totally OT) so a gemini alarm will only work with gemini remotes, clifford alarm with clifford remotes etc..
