Copying sim contacts to a paper copy.

Featured Replies

Does anyone know how to copy contacts from my Iphone 3gs to a paper copy?

Just in case I lose the phone or the sim gets damaged I do not want to lose all my contacts.

Of course I can write them down myself but that would tale a while.

Any helpful replies are much appreciated.

Get a pen and a piece of paper, I hope this was helpfull.

I am far from expert, but why not connect the phone to a computer and export your contacts. You could then keep them on a memory stick, and also back up every few months.

gete an android phone ,it automatically remembers and downloads all my contacts as soon as i enter my email address

same for all the apps ive installed ,they just download and install by themselves

even when i get a new phone ,it configurs itself like the old phone i just lost (you can turn off this option but i would rather my phone to sync so if

i lose it all is not lost+ a new handset solves the problem )

My work iphone is synced with my Outlook on my work computer so all my contacts , calender and emails on the phone are linked to my computer and if i add one to my phone it also adds it to the computer. Don't know how the IT section does it but it works ok (at the moment) .

I don't know about the OP , but I have sure learnt a lot from this, thanks guys, thumbsup.gif I may even be getting closer to being as smart as my smartphone.........or maybe notsad.png

Thank you to all people who have provided helpful and sensible replies. They are much appreciated.

I have now accessed my contacts through Icloud and will print from there once I can access a printer,

Another option which I use is to buy another sim card from the 7/11 for 50 Baht. In contacts go to settings and select copy to phone. Insert newthumbsup.gif sim card then go to settings and select copy to sim. If ever you lose your phone you have all your contacts and a new sim ready to go

Save the trees, no need to print anything. If you loose the phone sync again with next one on the cloud.

This prompted me to look at my phone. Small Samsung. I went into contacts , pressed the left hand button for menu . One of the choices is Import/Export. Then one of the choices is export to SD card.

this is an Android feature. It will export your phone contact list into a ".vcf" file. This can be opened on PCs and other phones.

If I remember correctly it does not export the contact photos though, so if you have multiple contacts with the same name and was relying on the photo to distinguish between them, you might want to add a note to their address book entry first before you export.
