Well where in Canada could he run around naked without feeling just a bit cold - he was just making use of the find weather on offer in Thailand. I wish more people would do it & then it would seem normal & we could all participate. True freedom is being able to walk around naked surely?. A bet a lot of us do it at home or would if we could.

this is one of the things I love about Thailand , a dumb lad can make a mistake and the police don't beat the crap out of him and charge him with 80 years worth of violations , try that in America and you could get tazer'ed shot beat down , and charged with 80 years of violations . freedom isn't it grand .

And the mystery deepens as to why Thais don't think of farangs as role models to emulate. Haven't finished this thread yet, but I'm sure someone will blame his behavior on Thais and Thailand.

Said it before, I'll say it again. Only a stupid person would judge a nation on the behavior of a few individuals.

If Thailand don't want to attract these low lives (who are in every country without exception) then they should clean up their act so that the quality of tourists improves.

Thailand should understand that their lack of clear policies and effective policing gives the country a reputation as a destination for the sex trade, cheap booze and cheap hotels. Add to that sunny weather and what do you expect. The county needs a good hose down.

This guy should be made an example of and deported back to his country after paying a hefty fine. But i suspect he will just pay a little money and be back in the bars the next day.

The issue of thailand and the issue of tourists' behavior are separate. The entire country need not accommodate the needs of individuals. U can always travel elsewhere.

Art galleries are for the public. Outdoor sculptures with nudes are common all over the world. These are not obscene by definition unless they show obscene acts. You are objectively incorrect on this one.

I have definitely seen outdoor art events, IN PUBLIC PARKS, where there are LIVE nude performers. So maybe you just don't get out enough.

It would be if he was doing more than showing it. There was no indication in the article that he was and I'm pretty sure that would have been reported. There is no problem with laws against public nudity, they are usual, but I'm just saying that nudity alone is not obscenity.

If he had a raincoat on....that would classify him as obscene.
