June 10, 200619 yr With worldwide prices skyrocketing, I'm almost afraid to ask, but does anyone know what the per baht price has been along Yaowarat over the past couple of weeks? TIA!
June 10, 200619 yr I dunno what you mean by yaowarat, but the gold price in thailand has been going down in the last 2 weeks. it is now around 11.350/baht gold. it was almost 13000 a couple of weeks ago. my opinion is that it will go up again in the long run. It might dip even lower than now (check www.kitco.com, click on "charts" and then "gold"), but in the long run it will probably go higher than the 13000 of last month.
June 10, 200619 yr 11.150 on http://www.huasengheng.co.th/ Look in lower left corner. This is considered one of the best gold stores on Yaowart Road.

June 13, 200619 yr What about the Gold Traders Association of Thailand ? Must be a good and reliable source of information. http://www.goldtraders.or.th/index_en.php To read along with www.kitco.com (to have the real time market price for 1 once in USD). Remember : 1 Thai Bath = 15.3 grams = approximatly half of an once (troy once, the one you have on kitco.com) (correct me if i'm wrong). The price in thailand seems fixed 1 time per day. Because we have great volatility (in 3 weeks, we went from 710 USD to now... 595 USD !), it's usefull to check the price on world market before to buy). Lopburi, what do you mean when you say that HueSenghen "is considered one of the best gold stores on Yaowart Road" ?
June 13, 200619 yr They just have a good reputation -IMO, they are the standard gold shop to go to for gold for weddings for example- and have been around for awhile. They also have a location in Seacon Square if you want to avoid the nightmare parking situation in Yaowarat.
