This afternoon my DIL came to see us, in Maret from Chaweng.

Completely upset hardly capable of calming down, she told us a car coming the other way lost control in a bend, and almost crashed into her motorbike, on her side of the road, then make a spin round, and finished in a low wall. She insisted she avoided, the crash by a few centimetres only

I asked her how long ago, "not far, so 2/3 minutes five minute I don't know". So I took my motor bike, went toward Chaweng ...and in fact, she probably was very lucky! True the car lost control for no known reason except probably over speeding in the bend of course.

Glad to hear that your DIL made it to you OK. As you say - probably a close call. Sadly, too many of those these days.

Don't know what's in those bags, but that truck in the picture looks pretty overloaded as well.
