The sooner the police in this country are cured of their ills, the better

Many numerous reforms are urgently needed, police reform near if not at the top of the list.

Investigate + find guilty = transfer,

In a civilized county (which omits Thailand), it would be...

Investigate + find guilty + suspension + prosecution + conviction = Fired, Fined, Jailed.

I think judicial reform would solve nearly all the ills of this country - as (nearly) all comes below the judiciary.

Maybe the only way Thailand can avoid its own 'Arab Spring'.

Don't want to be here if it doesn't.

I think there's one in Samui immigration, he deals with all the retirement one year visa's personally and charges 5,000 bht, when the charge should be 1,900 bht.

Why he has'nt been transferred is beyond reason, hes done it thousands of times .

I guess they didn't kick enough profit up the chain of command.

On second thought, maybe they did, as they have just been reassigned, rather than fired from the force and been subject to criminal charges. TIT
