deckard
I live in Pattaya and have tried 5 dealers here to buy a Yamaha Spark 135 i , each one has given me different bs replies why they can't get one . Does anyone know why there is a shortage or any other reason and if anyone knows a dealer that can get me one would be much appreciated .
ttakata
I think I saw one at the Yamaha Square Rama 9 up here in BKK a month back. I recommend you get on the Yamaha Thailand website and start calling all the dealers. Use Google Chrome and it will auto translate a lot for you. That's how I found my white Tricity, had to call 8 dealers.
BSJ
Maybe it's a sign from god that he doesn't want you to buy a Yamaha. Have you considered one of the extraordinary Suzuki's awaiting you in the Suzuki showroom on Sukhumvit Rd.
ttakata
We don't know what kind of bike you want, maybe you could let us know why a Spark. I would get a Suzuki Raider anyday; it's far more bike for the money. DOHC 150cc, 6 speed, and big disc brakes. It's like a real bike but smaller. Same same, but different as they say. papa al
Have you tried the Yamaha dealer on Sukumvit opposite Trapasit? Most all Pattaya showrooms are Mityon owned and they don't seem to be real keen on selling to farang. Until recently I owned a Spark 135 and it is very fast bike. Hits 120 in 3rd gear right away. Pulls away from the Raider after 80kph. I don't know how Yamaha does it. Quieter, faster and far more comfy and easier to ride around than the Raider which I bought in December. 140 kph indicated. 50+ kpl around town. Raider ~70,000baht Spark ~55,000 If you are going for the boy racer look, I recommend the Raider. Yamaha parts easier to get vs Suzuki. If you are interested is a used bike I noticed this in Craigslist. Earlier version with a real clutch. Rare. Looks nice. If I didn't have 4 bikes now I'd buy it. Maybe I will anyway. deckard
Thanks for the info guys . I'll keep my options open if I can't get any joy with the Yamaha . By the way I know what you mean by the service Mityon offer or rather don't .

Raider is the best option in Thailand now in terms of power and handling. 6 speed, 150 cc DOHC engine and a very light bike. This combination makes it so zippy. And you pay 20 k more and get a lot of bike.
BSJ
I get my PCX150 serviced at Mityon in Thepprasit Rd and I never had a problem....except for the time a rear wheel bearing had to be replaced and they wouldn't do it on warranty.
papa al
I went to Yamaha opposite Therapsit on Sukumvit today. No Spark 135 in stock but girl said 1000baht deposit and could have on in a month. Three nice color options in brochure.

Line them up next to each other and the Spark will leave the Raider behind. Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but facts is facts. The Raider exhaust is a lot louder so therefore safer and more badass, I guess. Edited May 14, 2014 by papa al
