New Driving License Tests Starting June 1st

Featured Replies

Just renewed my 5 year. Took 4 hours for car and bike.

Looks like several days to obtain a license will be the norm from now on.

It still won't be enough to make these roads safer.

This does not affect renewals or changing from the one year temporary license to the 5 year. Only new licenses. Presently it takes two days to get your first license, that is going to get a lot longer.

"Any driver who wishes to renew their 5 year Thai driving license will also need to attend a one hour ‘refresher’ lecture in order to bring them up to speed with the new curriculum."

Yes due to the new testing being much harder & with more questions + higher % correct to pass folks are flocking to

the DMV to get a license now before the new testing starts

As such DMV will be jammed for awhile.

Glad mine does not expire till 2018

i believe it is something good.

But sending my gf to the nearest driving test center on Monday.laugh.png
