Criminal Court issues arrest warrant against UDD leader Jatuporn

I predict tonight or tomorrow night a grenade will be found outside the house of the judge who issued this warrant, swiftly followed by a statement by the UDD that they are seeking justice and are not trying to intimidate people

Let me predict: the grenade will come but the judge will be not at home ....

I would have thought the lawyer would have requested the Court to postpone any defamation hearing until AFTER they know whether Abhisit is actually guilty of anything or not.

Jatuporn should produce evidence that Abhisit ordered the killing of red shirts.

He'll have his chance to do that during the hearing. That's the point of having a case, isn't it? So that one side or other can disprove via evidence that the other is wrong.

Personally, I'd like to see Jatuporn whacked with hefty damages and banged up for so long he'll never be a threat to anyone again ...

Well, I think that it would be reasonable to hold any alleged 'defamation' charges in abeyance pending the outcome of the murder charges against Abhisit. That trial might be over sometime in the latter part of this century.

Maybe it's because he made the accusations before the trial when Abhisit would still be innocent. It's the only reason I can think of.

Having looked at the orders given I can't see how the case can go very far. There's the charge that the orders were disproportionate but even that doesn't look very sound either.

Actually with the laws in Thailand it could still be defamation even if it's true although I doubt that's something Abhisit would go for.

Guess Chalerm can put on a disguise, assemble the paratroopers and zoom in and quickly arrest Jutaporn.

I think he is busy.

Call back later.

PS. PAD has been busy since 2008.

What court hearings have the PAD skipped?

edit: that they didn't eventually attend. PAD cases are going through the courts.

Who's to say that Jatuporn wasn't going to "eventually attend"?

You are saying that that is a reasonable way of responding to court hearings, aren't you? What's the PAD timescale for "eventually attending" - two, three years?

hahahahaha, will this pathetic excuse for a human run away like his red mate, lets see just how peaceful the red shirts are when the police try to arrest him if he is still here and the police do their job that is of course as long as capo lets them arrest him

What about Suthep not showing up in court saying that he is too busy to overthrown the current gouvernment? I'm not sure about who is more pathetic.

That's different, he's only got arrest warrants for sedition, murder and terrorism (still awaiting a decision). Jatuporn is wanted on charges of defaming abhisit. Where's your sense of Justice?

So the courts order Jutaporn be arrested for defamation, but have not enforced the orders against Suthep for murder and insurrection. All this just shows how hopelessly biased the court system and judiciary are. Will this never end?

It's the police that haven't enforced the orders against Suthep. Go and complain to Chalerm about that.

So biased that they turned down the recent request to have Jutaporns bail revoked.

Could it be that the defamation claim against Jutaporn came before any charges were contemplated against Suthep.

You know like doing things in order.

I quoted you because I was replying to you. I'm not interested in what chottee said about 2008 - but you asked me about his statement so I said I wasn't interested and that you should discuss it with the person that did.

Seems simple to me.

That's how I understand how the defamation related laws work in Thailand. You have to be able to prove your accusation which is not as easy as it would seem.

Hahaha ironically if will be be the judge who won't attend the next hearing for the very same reason - if Jatuporn shows really up - followed by 100.000 supporters!

Defamation are you kidding me - Abhisit was in in charge as PM of the military puppet government and ordered the violent crackdown on the protesters and also tried to stop the amnesty bill - so stop wasting tax payers money where is the defamation?

Maybe the courts should work up the backlog of cases against PAD and others pending for years now!

Otherwise Jatuporn can always say he is busy defending democracy - sounds better than Suthep's busy leading an lllegal violent mop trying to overthrough democracy in Thailand.

I would say ignore the yellow judge - he will soon reverse his decision!

Just quote the new senate speaker who says the law should not stand in the way if it needs to serve their purpose - just bend if a bit when needed! What a bunch of morons!

Dear fab, the Capo can say that of anyone, in fact they are threatening everyone with bogus cases. They have no case, and were quite silent when the lana republic stunt was there. Look who is bias..

Yes because threatening and terrorizing is the red way and the way of the followers of the red menace.

Its nice to see all the red puppets here condemning this judge before he has even put down a verdict. All he said that Jatuporn his excuse was invalid.

Afraid for his life.. its the anti government side that has had 90% the casualties so far. cheesy.gif

One more time double standard.

The Royalists committed dozens of crimes since 2006 (no need to mention them again) => still at large and even making more troubles in the country (i.e. Suthep).

Some guy like this Jatuporn just spoke against a criminal and he should be in jail?

By the way, this is EXCELLENT => the proof that the justice is always on the side of the aristocracy against the population.

Continue like that and there will be no more aristocracy soon.

When did Jatuporn speak out against Thaksin??

The only violence I see daily is from so called guards on the yellow side!

And there is no need to threaten a judge in Thailand - they always hang their flag in the wind - if that does not happen usually a box full of money does! They all have a price!
