Very Cheap Apartment In Bangkok

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a VERY cheap apartment, anywhere near the a sky train station?

It's for my mate and his budget is 7000B/month.

Thanks!

Your best bet would be to pick a sky train station between Victory Monument and Morchit or Ekkamai and Onnut, and then have a wander around looking for cheap apartments. Your more likely to find cheaper apartments at the either end of the sky train line.

Rathaprarop tower mansion is on Rathaprarop road near Victory Monument. Rooms available with shower, tv, phone air con etc 24 security and parking for about 6000 pm. This is quite expensive for many thai people - you could find him a place for as little as 2500 if he doesnt mind no hot shower and no air con.

Any chance you know where Rathaprarop tower mansion is? I spent all day looking around the VM area but couldn't find it. Thanks!

Hi naturalpoints,

Is your apartment within my mates budget (7,000B)?

If not, I recomend letting the people on here know about your apartment in the Classifieds section. Or try using a site like mrroomfinder.com

I live off soi 16, Sukhumvit 71, about a ten minute walk from the Phra Khanong BTS, one stop before the On Nut terminus.

I have a large, 35' X 15' single room with a/c, western bathroom, 8'X8' balcony; no kitchen or cooking facilities: B4500 p/m., furnished. A/C run at night and half the day runs about B2k hot season, B1k during cooler times. Water is about B150. I have ToT phone and ADSL for B1000 p/m

This area can be classified as Thai"Working class", while a number of farangs do live here it is not near the density of lower Sukhumvit. There is a shopping center close by and many restaruants, mostly Thai.

Most of the bars are Karaoke.

Beware of renting an inexpensive place far from transportation or requiring long walks on sois at night, you can end up spending twice the money you save on Taxi's

Sorry I didn't see your question earlier.

The Ratchaprarop Tower Mansion is on Rathaprarop Road which is one of the roads leading away from the Victory Point area neat the BTS. I cannot recall the exact Soi but it has a seven eleven on it's corner and the best bet is to get off the BTS at Victory Point/Monument and ask a motocy or taxi to go to 'Raa-cha-praa-LOP tao-ERRR' and they should know.

5 minutes later: ok I found the card. Their number is 022453355 and they speak ok English - just ask them to talk with your taxi and direct him.

Hope that helps.

A friend of my wife has a top floor of a double townhouse/shop on sukhumvit near soi 22 opposite the big sign of WOW. It is almost 120 sqm 2 aircon with shared bathroom. For the price of 3000 bath a month.

Looking around it looks like many floors above the shops are empty. Maybe you can ask a few shopowners if they are willing to rent them out.
