Why, so the lawyer gets most of the money from selling the Gold?? TIT and the gold sheets (blocks) are Ancient artifacts, its the same laws everywhere..........possession is not ownership in most cases............and they are getting paid for it rather than it be confiscated.

Don't return the gold you found, seven years in jail and/or 700,000 baht. Kill someone carelessly on the road, probation and 10,000 baht. Go figure.

who will keep track of it once its turned in?

the same trustworthy officials that have their tentacles into all aspects of thai life ?
