Hi everyone,

I have now tried twice to get a visa for my GF with no apparent success!

Does anyone have good connections with the Embassy where I could get

to see an officer and plead my case. If so contact me asap! The way the

Embassy is setup, it`s like entering a bank where the counter is all windowed

up and there is a few rows of seats for waiting your number. No visible access

to anywhere which would indicate an entry to Embassy staff. In other words

they discourage contact with their staff or don`t want to see you. I am obviously

a Canadian and would like very much to speak with an officer...the only way I think

of getting some attention! So...please....some help.....if you can!!

It doesn't work like that I'm afraid, you cannot plead your case following a refusal, unless the Canadian Immigration Service allow applicants to appeal refusals.

You have to convince the Consular Officer that the application is genuine and complies with the immigration rules relevant to to class of visa being applied for, when the application is submitted, and you do so by submitting evidence.

If you reapply following a refusal, then the reasons for the refusal need to be addressed.

It helps if you supply evidence that she is likely to return to Thailand and not apply to stay once she gets there. Best to show she has a job and responsibilities here and a return ticket helps too. Also it is good if she is invited by some organization to come to Canada for a meeting.

Its obvious there are reasons why you were refused twice. Address those concerns and stop thinking of ludicrous ideas that will not work.

gillap, did you use the new private service ? They receive the application now for visitor visa contracted by the Embassy.

Now tourist visa ( I think Canada call this visitor visa) application is with a private company called VSF Global.

Go check on the web site for complete details:

http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/thailand/

If you visit the Canadian Embassy web site they will refer you to VSF Thailand.

I guess your only choice is to reapply again; good luck !
