to say it felt as though they got away with 3-1 wouldnt be unfair they competed and harried but as soon as the chavs scored only one team were ever going to win.on that sbowing burnley will do well to stay up and chelsea will battle man city for the title with arsenal snapping at their heels.

Aw come on Carmine it would be kinda fun to adopt another no-hoper team and ramp em up a bit on here!

Perhaps the northern boys could adopt Burnley and those from the sarf could pick up QPRtongue.png

I used to work in Samlesbury (Preston area) where there is a lot of rivalry between Blackburn and Burnley fans. The Blackburn fans call Burnley fans The Dingles and the Burnley fans call Blackburn a small town in Burnley. There's good banter between the two.

Spent many a happy away game following Carlisle United at Deepdale, Ewood Park and Turf Moor in my teens. By 'eck, the M6 was only just newly built over Shap.

Burnley would be another good club to get into matches to watch. I mourned Wigan's demise for that reason.

Pity I moved my UK (occasional) base from Leeds to Cambridge - no realistically priced Prem football and often fully booked in the efete South. Anybody know Palace's prices?

That would be a Pakistani-American family presumably.

Burnley played without fear and after that showing are a welcome addition to the prem. They reminded me of Blackpool, hopefully it will pay off for them.

comparing george best to jimmy macilroy is like comparing a morris minor to a RR, First of all JM was a gentleman on and off the pitch,a genius footballer and an International who played in the World Cup Tournaments. Gb was a talented footballer who pissed on his chips to often and was not fit to even lace up jm's boots I was brought up watching the 1960's team, went to all the cup finals apart from the play off final v sheffield utd. And as for taffy and ralph coates 2 of the finest wingers to play for the Claerts and for their countries.

What did you think of Doug Collins,Al? Chelsea played Burnley at the Bridge around 1968 and I thought he was tremendous on the day although one of your mob wouldn't leave him alone..."Come on Collins yer big poof, get thy 'air in rinse."
