Boring you with your "secret places" i find it so stupid that someone can think that any place is secret.

Just look at agoda, hundreds of hotels there, not so secret :-)

What might be secret is the best beach bungalow, any idea ? where is your favorite beach place at prachuakkirichan ?

Thank you.

Not alot of great beach bungalows in Prachuap itself. But some excellent seafood restaurants. There are some nice little spots in Klong Wan, just south of town, on the sea. And if you head further south along the coast to Ban Krud, there are a number of great spots. The temple at the north end of Ban Krud bay is one of the best temples in Thailand. The entire coastline, from about Sam Roi Yot, to about Ban Saphan Noi, which is about a 180 km. stretch, are the best beaches on the mainland side of the Gulf, and the entire area is charming. Prachuap province, from about Pranburi south, is outstanding. As you start getting closer to Chumporn, it starts dropping off, and at Chumporn itself, you will find one of the least charming cities in the nation.

If you best temples are as good as your best ridiculous beach without even 1 resort directly on the sand, I am sure that the temples are the greatest in the universe !

Funny that people here call a place amazing when it doesn't even have the minimum that any civilisation should offer.

It even seems impossible to find a pizza at Prachuap... (and i am not asking the best in thailand!)

Open the eyes and walk around. There are five Pizza places (4 Italian owned and one Thai/French) within walking distance of each other.

Feel free to move on to a better civilisation.

Wrong again. The pizza at La Vite in Prachuap, is as good a pizza as you will find anywhere in Hua Hin. And the fact that there are no resorts directly on the beaches is a very good thing. It shows how much pride the local people have in their area. No development is allowed directly on the beach, in many of the areas, except perhaps Klowg Wan. The temple in Ban Krud is amazing. I dare you to visit it, and report back on this forum.

Not sure what your minimum requirements are. The area, and the beaches are lovely, by most standards. Sorry if it does not meet your rather stringent standards.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have lived there between 2003 and 2012. I stayed there for several months the first time in 1996. I never promoted it as it was one of the best places I had visited in LOS totally unspoiled by greed scams etc.  There is substantial influx of  retired farlangs since 2012-2013.
