Hal65 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Are those actual postage stamps (similar to the 1c stamps in the USA) or something else? I keep getting them after every transaction at 7-11.
MJCM Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 They are discount stamps, my wife saves them, and last week she bought something and exchanged around 40 of them for a 20 THB discount on that.
Popular Post Gsxrnz Posted September 12, 2014 Popular Post Posted September 12, 2014 DOH!! Actually, I'm using mine to wallpaper my lounge. At the present rate of progress I figure I have to spend about another 15,000,000 Baht to finish the job. 4
Costas2008 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em. OP, no, no, don't try to post a letter with these stamps, you will be waiting for a loooooong time for it to arrive to it's destination. 2
CharlieH Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 If you put those on a letter, chances are the post guy would rip them off, literally ! 1
eeeya Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 i know a lady who collects them and has exchanged them for cheap plastic furniture and household goods. anyone know where the catalogue is online?
tx22cb Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 "similar to the 1c stamps in the USA" I guess you have not been back to the States for quite some time ....
MJCM Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 i know a lady who collects them and has exchanged them for cheap plastic furniture and household goods. anyone know where the catalogue is online? Just a couple of clicks needrd 1- search for 7/11 site thailand 2- open the site and find the catalog link http://www.7catalog.com/Web7Catalog/home
jpeg Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 There was some poster not long back claiming he had enough evidence of stamps being withheld to bring a Class Action. He hadn't specified how much of a retainer his Thai lawyer requested for this idiocy. I simply leave the bloody things on the counter. Personally, I would prefer prices reduced than some crap from a catalogue 2

harrry Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Actually the usual thing is to exchange a book full of them for a small item they have as the monthly promotion. Something like a glass or a drinking bottle with doremon.

cooked Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 We got an excellent umbrella last year as well as a small suitcase. Quality OK. The kids love this stuff 1
daveAustin Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Big waste of time. Wife once collected these things up for months. Finally had enough for like a book full, went ahead and placed order at 7, sorry that will take 6 months. Ok what about this item? sorry that will take 6 months etc etc. In the bin! It's all to get you buying more sugar and E numbers for more stamps. In the end you get like 20 baht off, or end up with a worthless piece of plastic sh.it all the way from China. Do yourselves a favour, leave the things on the counter or say mai pen rai.
guru Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 I just use the stamps the next time I go in to 7-11 to get money off items in the store. Some things such as medicine not included in the scheme.
TacoGuy Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 They are loyalty points. I think you need to spend a minimum of 50B on certain products and you get 7B stamps. They can be used as cash as well as items in the mini booklet. And some clerks do seem "share" the stamps between you and them.
Felixthecat Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Keep them for yourself or give them to a TG(s)...they collect them to earn product discount's. "The Big C'' shopping malls have something similar as well.

Will all due respect I've seen the end result on many ocassions and have never seen what you've said happen. After the amout for the desired gift selection has been reached, there's been no more than 2-weeks passed by to collect the prize after submitting the completed coupon cards.
matimati Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Splendid, yet another handbag that looks like all the handbags bought by 7/11 stampers...
Eaglekott Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 You can use them as money at 7-11 1Baht stamp = 1 Baht and the same with 3 baht stamp. Last time i payed with only stamps, I had a lot and did not know what they were used for But just one day they will not be valid again, And net time, new stamps.

chickenslegs Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 With so many people receiving these stamps but never using them (me included) I am wondering whether there is a charity we can send them to. Anyone know? I seem to remember that we used to send our Green Shield stamps to Dr Barnados (childrens charity) in the UK. [and we sent our milk bottle tops to Blue Peter to buy guide dogs for the blind or lifeboats]
Jdietz Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 You can use them for: - Direct discount for most articles at 7-11 - Special promotional items - Most 7-11s have a sheet near the door you can paste them on for charity (they'll go to the overprivileged) 1
bonobo Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 We got an excellent umbrella last year as well as a small suitcase. Quality OK. The kids love this stuff We got an umbrella, too.
WhamBam Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Give them to some sexy lady in the queue behind you. You never know, maybe she will love you long time for your generosity. On the other hand she might slap you for being a cheapskate
balo Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Any difference between the 3 stamps and 1 stamps ? They give you a bunch of both .
