Chulabhorn Hospital - annual cancer check

Featured Replies

In the past my wife and I have gone annually to the Government Cancer Hospital (somewhere in darkest Bangkok!). Recently she found out about Chulabhorn Cancer Center. We went there today and its not many minutes from our house!! I attach the investigation information (male and female). As I recall it's pretty identical to what was done that the Government Hospital. However the difference is amazing.

Chulabhorn Hospital in appearance is like a very nice private hospital but with charges more in keeping with a Government Hospital. It's quite new as well. We arrived about 8:45am and were number 14 and 15 in the queue - I think it's register 7:30am-9am for this check up. We were finished about 11:45 including about 10-15 minutes discussing the results with the doctor. The doctor, a surprise, attractive lady and she did the digital finger exam, not just a couple of seconds like at the previous hospital but a good search around!

I see that they do a Colonoscopy for 6500Baht ... according to my wife it's a 'put out job'. My last one 'again a put out job' at BNH I believe was 2-3 times that price. I believe that this is an offer price - no idea how long for though.

All in all, very impressed.
