Two Burmese died and two were injured when they ran a red light this morning (September 19).

PHUKET: -- Two Burmese died and two were injured when they ran a red light and crashed into a tree early this morning (September 19) in Thalang.

At 11.30am Thalang police and Kusoldharm Rescuers were called to the scene after receiving a report of the crash on Thepkassattri Rd.

Police found the body of the driver, Bao, 22, who was instantly killed, lying next to the tree. The three remaining victims were taken to Vachira Hospital for urgent treatment, but police learned that one of the victims, Lone, 23, later died.

A nearby witness said, “The driver, carrying three passengers, ran a red light at a very high speed, with the passenger on the end carrying a guitar on his shoulder.

“The driver appeared to be unaware of how curvy the road was, as he slammed straight into a big tree.”

Police took a record and went to Vachira hospital to get more information from the victims.

Elsewhere it says 11.40 PM. Looks more like it indeed.

.............The driver, carrying three passengers, ran a red light at a very high speed...............

Says it all.

4 adults on a bike ... running a red light .... says it all.

Just how "high speed" can a scooter go with 4 onboard? I'm thinking one, or more, on the back, shifted their weight, and sent the bike off into the tree.

very sad indeed - but when you drive in that manner what can you expect.

We witness this on a daily basis, law of averages , someone will come a cropper....,

Sad, but no one ever learns....

R.I.P.

Hardly news with the daily carnage on Thailands roads, very sad hundreds of families in mourning or should I say thousands on an annual basis.
