Came to Thailand for vacation 4 times this year, and let me tell you that I spent more than what I spent on my France holiday which consisted of visiting Nice-Cannes-Monaco for a week.

I was spending 3000 baht a day at least, which didn't include hotel expenses, and let me tell you, I wasn't doing anything lavish.

I'm not saying I know it all, I'm just certain you can't lead a decent western way standard of living here on 30-45k baht, decent 1 br condo starts from 20k baht

I understand people like you with a decent passive income. But majority of the farangs aren't in this situation, only a few select are. Most are pensioners and English teachers.

Umm. A lot of people in the west earn that kind of money too. Minimum wage in my country(US) is about 40,000 baht a month. Of course that money does go further in Thailand. It's actually a middle class income in Thailand.

Because In France I was with my parents, didn't get to enjoy the nightlife. I partied everyday in RCA while I was here. And I don't come here for girls, just partying. My best friend is from Thailand, he's a really connected guy here from a hi-so family, I've been chilling in his social circle from time to time, thats why Bangkok seems like such a heaven to me.

If 40-50k baht is enough to make it, why do foreign diplomats living in Thailand get paid at least 150k-200k baht? Some junior turk diplomat I met here said his government paid him 6000 usd a month, he was only 28, lol

The Op has been on this forum for 3 days. Of course he may have lived in Bangkok for considerably longer that that, but judging by his posts I doubt it. 3K baht a day he says he has spent, not including accommodation. Let's say he spends 5K a day at his present lifestyle. That's 150K a month. . When you consider many middle class Thais are lucky to get 20k a month pretty good going if you ask me. Of course we have no idea what he does for a living, is he a wealthy remittance man? who knows? but I find it strange that someone who being single and allegedly living a fairly high life would worry himself as to what an English teacher would earn. Being a bit of a bragging tosser comes to mind.
