Some have questioned Sean's accident that led to his guitar being splattered with blood.

I wonder if this "accident" could have been the result of an initial threat to shut his mouth because he saw/knew/spoke too much. This could then have been followed up days later with the threat that he was going to die in the jungle.

1 murdered in samet and 2 russians raped in phuket yesterday !

That doesn't count the headline of the Thai husband killing and burning his wife and kids to death. Just read the papers and not all the murders and rapes including Thais.

Its very disturbing for a country of 60mn

The news and headlines say the problems and crimes here in bold print. But IF we discuss the facts we are given a holiday or our posts removed for whatever reason.

There is a fine line between what is true and what we can say about the TIT people committing the crimes. Very sad that this is getting to be open season on farang women by the smiling locals.

So a rape in Phuket and a murder in Koh Samet last day or so...... these Islands do seem to have a common denominator.

But its safe............ whistling.gif

Another day in Thailand another body, a female body has washed up on the beach in phuket with hands tied behind the back...

Age 15-45..Try calling that one suicide...This place is rife with gangsters..beware people..

"He said the remaining 15 per cent of the case was classified, and "when overall progress can be revealed, arrests can be made".

Panya said the police probe was not complicated, adding that luck was on their side as leads and tip-offs about the killers were coming in continuously.
"This helps police to do their work more efficiently," he said."

This statement was like 5 days ago and they still not find the killer(s).

The police chief is full of BS and the whole police corp is totally corrupted, as long at the suspect is from a powerful family he will never get arrested.

Maybe time the Thai army take over the entire investigation, they have done a good job cleaning up in Phuket, Pattaya and Bangkok.

Time to clean up at Koh Tao and get rid of the bastards who cover up for the killers.

Police chief stateement

December is high season I can guarantee no murders will happen. How can he guarantee that ?

Will he attend the full moon party and try to spot a potential killer?

What is the real moral to this story? Well, one of them is that we are not going to see any meaningful change, to the fabric of Thai society. Many of us were incredibly hopeful that we would see some positive changes. And I think it is quite possible that Prayuth, and his top guys have their hearts in the right places, and want to see this change take place. Many expats, and many Thais really want to see progress, and want to see this country moving forward into this century. Yes, we will see some land crimes solved, and some illegal beach vendors removed. But, in terms of dealing with the massive corruption issues, the kind of power guys like the headman of Koh Tao have, and their ability to abuse that power, and positive changes at an institutional level, and at a national level, where it really counts, many of us now doubt it will happen. This case proves, that many are still above the law, and even the Army cannot touch them. That is the devastating moral to this story. A very disappointing outcome indeed.
