I am a very occasional contributor to the football forum, but i read it every day and have always enjoyed the (mostly knowledgeable) input of the regulars, and the (mostly friendly) banter between the supporters of their respective clubs. But not any more. Over the past few weeks this football forum has been ruined and rendered just about unreadable by the torrent of inane, childish and irrelevant posts, across all threads by one poster who, despite being put on ignore by just about every serious poster on here, carries on, answering his own childish posts, even answering posters who he must know have him on ignore. He floods every topic with what can only be described as verbal diarrhoea, to the point where it has become impossible for serious posters to actively contribute without going insane. I don't know what, if anything, can be done to rectify this situation, but i would hope the powers that be would consider taking some action to curtail this pest, otherwise this forum will cease to exist because i can forsee a situation when the serious contributors will just give up on it, and it will be effectively left as the private forum, or Chelsea blog of the aforementioned poster. Which would be a crying shame, the overwhelming majority having to suffer for the actions of one person, who appears to be completely lacking in insight and must be as thick skinned as a rhinocerous so it is clearly pointless appealing to his better nature. Something must be done,

Yep, used to be a good forum. Don't bother too much in it these days for precisely reasons you explain, there are a couple of others also that bring little to the forum, of a similar ilk.

Please use the report button in posts that are unacceptable, or email support[at]thaivisa and we will have a look at it.

If someone is "sabotaging" the football forum, we would like to have links to these posts for further action.

@George ,I don't know about others but 'reporting' on the football forums is not something I'd do.

He just continues to flood/troll each and every thread .

Put it this way if he was in a pub before the match at ,say Anfield he wouldn't make it into the game ,if by some miracle he did ,he'd be ejected by the police or stewards and would probably spend the night in Copy Lane nick or Fazakerley hospital.

I complained loud about him on the Arsenal thread a few weeks back and (maybe coincidentally) he disappeared for a week or two, so I encourage everyone to monitor him. Unfortunately being boring and repetitive is difficult to legislate against, but we all know it wont be long before he can't resist a blatant abusive troll post.

If he doesn't come into line or disappear by say the end of the month we'll have to consider self-imposing a posting moratorium in protest.

He was/is a troll only interested in posting/provoking/annoying. Anyone who missed that must not have been paying attention.

I'm totally with Chic and Jellydog on this one - so right in principle Nev (free speech an all that) but so wrong in practice. Life is not just about rights. Life is just as much about obligations/responsibilities.

Like most football forums they do tend to sink to a level which is not "banter" its just schoolboy like trading of insults which have nothing to do with the subject or the spirit of the forum.

True "banter" is the exchange of remarks in a good humoured way, unfortuantly good humour requires a certain amount of intelligence which in many cases is lacking by some posters.

Telling someone "they know <deleted>*k all about football", or have a certain point of view is not "banter" nor does it add anything to a constructive informative, discussion.

The recent addition of P45 Mustang inane comments reduced the forum to a farcical state and there was only one decision which has seemingly been taken.

I have introduced a couple of ex team mates and real football men to this forum and after scanning a few posts their comment was "why would you bother ?"

If everyone made a concious decision to lift their game it may well attract some new members,instead of the usual suspects, but I'd wager the number that have joined and then dropped out after

either being ridiculed, or from sheer boredom,would be in the 100's.
