Has any of you motor heads come accross aluminum checker plate in Thailand at the steel shops. I've never seen anything made of it here or on any vehicles.

Yes some steel shops have this 1mmx2.4mtrx1.2mtr a couple of years ago 2000bt a sheet.

I know it is available in Pattaya but I don't remember where. I was admiring a guys truck. He had custom made running boards and a lockable storage box in the bed of the truck made from aluminum checker plate. I do remember that it came from and was made by a small Jomtien welding shop. That shop was on Theprasit Road but he said it moved to a larger shop.
