Eirene Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 @ JLCrab...are you Donald Rumsfeld in disguise? Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns, there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns, that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns - the ones we don't know we don't know. And if one looks throughout the history of our country and other free countries, it is the latter category that tend to be the difficult ones. AleG Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Twice I noticed the defense using dishonest methods in asking for funds, once claiming the defendants were at risk of being executed before the beginning of 2015, the second claiming that donations would be tax deductible, both claims were false. I don't give people that solicit money using deceptive tactics to be credible. At the end of the day some people want to see a fair trial, and some people don't. Lets not forget the case only went to court because the 7 returns and out lark was almost up. They still have no more evidence the Burmese committed the crime than they did 5 months ago. P.S. give us a link to the defense claiming the boys would hang before 2015 and not just a poster saying it ? I look forward to your proof. The post was deleted because it was in violation of TV's rule against asking for donations.

Actually, it was the post falsely claiming donations via “youcaring” would be tax deductible that was deleted. The one with the false claims that the Burmese defendants were facing the possibility of being executed before the end of the year still stands: If the lawless and ruthless powerful of the island have their way, the lads will die by lethal injection before the year ends if not soon next year. Actual murderers, who are the sons and daughters of the political elite, never go to trial. This is not a made-up drama; it’s a real life disaster in the making. "This is not a made-up drama", yeah, right...
thailandchilli Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I'm assuming the RTP in their quest to convict the B2 and a possible death sentence have made no false claims, oops not enough fingers to count them all. Attempting to discredit the defense team when one poster makes a couple of allegedly false claims speaks volumes. Calling a fund that is controlled by Andy Hall dubious is unforgivable. Andy is respected world wide for his Human Rights endeavors in Asia. It does appear that to some people a fair trial is the last thing they want. No doubt those people will now reply to this post to attempt to discredit it........................ 1
greenchair Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I have had some further ideas about the design of a tshirt to raise money desparetly needed for Andy and the trial of the boys. I think I can buy them for about 100 baht and sell them at 200. I thought the shirt should be light hearted and appeal to man, woman and child .inside the packet we could put a note telling people about the work we are all doing and the donation site that we cannot mention. It starts "you" and ends "care. We can send some to England, Burma and Australia. I expect to have my first batch ready by March. I am thinking of this wording. Year?of?the?goat?innocence ?project?2015 Or I would like some help with a nice image. I would like to chain the words together please help me. I have 2 free movie tickets for the winning image.
greenchair Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 This looks better. Year?of?the?goat. Innocence?project?2015 Don't forget to help me chain the words. And double don't forget free movie tickets for some guy and his lucky girlfriend ?

Well, good thing I don't need forgiveness for showing how a person working to solicit donations to that fund has used deceptive methods to entice people to donate. When you try to steer things away from that fact, it's not just dubious, it's downright suspicious.
berybert Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Well I must apologise. As you are a man who demands links and proof to any and every argument. Popular Post SLESQ Posted January 13, 2015 Popular Post Posted January 13, 2015 Thank you ... well most of you.. for your positive support of the defendants. I will not respond to the weird comments of some few, or try to reason why they write as they do. The Defense Team now has possession of copies of what purports to be the full prosecution file and is going over it very closely. For reasons of past prosecutorial misconduct some doubt we received their entire file and expect some key exculpatory materials have been "inadvertently" omitted. The T shirt concept advocated here is a good idea and we wish it good success, even as the TVF censors don't want to agree how well it fits this topic. We need to find witnesses; we need resources to find witnesses; we can't ask for resources here and now we can't promote good ideas to locate what is needed. .. really! Others are working to make a documentary and short videos about the plight of the defendants, and we too wish them great success as well. Will posting that documentary also be banned by the TVF censors? Is their agenda more than just their OWN rules? For example, we who are aged and with challenged vision are now prohibited from using the large fonts available here....REALLY. What then are the large fonts for other than for masking expletives? I am told that the use of my circle logo with the defendants' pictures a the start of my postings on this topic is also now banned! Is that for real? I've not been told that so now must I "self-censor" or risk this post t going to the trash heap? With key assistance and advice from several knowledgeable and skilled writers, my own personal letter to leaders of industry, high-income earners, and people with high net-worth the world over will soon be mailed out and then published. A portion is offered here for critical (not idiotic nor nonsensical) review and comment: "I am the former Associate General Counsel of a major USA chemical and ethical pharmaceutical company, a trial lawyer with 40+ years’ experience, chairman of my own international consultancy, and Siam University business law teacher. Before my retirement, I had access to organizations of leaders similarly situated who kept each other informed of worthy causes that needed our support. "The recent murders of Hanna Witheridge and David Miller on Koh Tao have focused the world's attention on Thailand. This attention has led police and politicians to be concerned with quickly finding someone to blame for the murders to move the issue out of the international spotlight. After several miss-steps, attempts to implicate others that were later retracted, and faulty forensic procedures, the remaining evidence is now used to charge Zaw Lin and Wei Phyo, two migrant workers who appear as easy targets. Both 21 years old with little formal education, they were among the few Myanmar resident/workers in the vicinity of the murders who did not run away. They had no reason to run as they are innocent of the murder and rape that form the basis of the death-penalty charges against them. "Evidence that might clear Zaw Lin and Wei Phyo was not gathered and/or ignored because it did not support the presumed guilty theory put forth by the police. The evidence against them is so obviously contaminated, incomplete, and manipulated, a team of Lawyers Council of Thailand lawyers for the defense, headed by Mr. Nakhon Chompuchat, have joined forces to represent them pro-bono (no fee is being paid to any lawyer). Because of the international attention, police and politicians tried to rush the case to court without giving Zaw Lin's and Wei Phyo's lawyers time to react, time to study the supposed evidence, time to gather rebuttal witnesses, etc. At Court, Khun Nakhon won 7 months to prepare the defense but lawyers working for no fee cannot mount a complete defense against the tainted evidence without resources to (i) make frequent flights to Koh Tao, Samui, and Rangoon to interview witnesses, locate other witnesses who fled fearing for their lives, and even visit the defendants in jail; (ii) conduct new scientific tests independent of the flawed tests by the police; or (iii) hire scientific expert witnesses to provide testimony on proper forensic and police investigation techniques that were not conducted by the police; etc. Those resources are not available at this time and time is running out for the defendants. "I am writing to ask for your good suggestions on how to help this defense team. Please tell me who you know, any organizations or person, who might be willing to help, directly or anonymously." 4
