Does anyone know why they are writing down rego's after you fill up with fuel at the moment, i have just noticed them doing it the last couple of times.

I fill up every 2 days, and havent had mine registered. Im in Bangkok.

I only noticed after waiting behind another car and saw them walk behind all the cars writing the rego's down as they fill up.

Maybe so they can report the number to the police if you do a runner without paying for the fuel.

when i see them do it is after the person has paid and or is driving off or about ready to drive off
