On-the-run dissident Tommy Diver taunts police from Thailand
Republican wanted over terror plot fled to Bangkok so he wouldn't spend Christmas in jail
BY CIARAN BARNES

BELFAST: -- A dissident republican wanted by police over a murder plot has gone on the run to Thailand so he won’t have to spend Christmas behind bars.

Tommy Diver, 26, fled to Bangkok to avoid an arrest warrant connected to alleged attack plans on the PSNI and prison officers.

On-the-run Diver has taunted cops on Facebook, saying: “Thought I’d avoid internment by remand after the cops landed with a trumped-up arrest warrant, so I’m away for a while.

“Had to make sure the cops didn’t know what I was at and where until I got here.”

Police want to question the top republican about alleged meetings of the Continuity IRA that took place inside a Newry bungalow which was secretly bugged by MI5.

Cops have since called on three occasions to his west Belfast home with an arrest warrant.

  • Cowardly scum, bravest thing they ever did was walk up behind off duty officers and put one in the back of their heads when they wernt looking. Send him back now!

Why does Thailand open its doors to these types of people?

I'm sure with his attitude and mouth, he will get noticed very soon in BKK and someone will rat him in.

Shouldn't be too difficult for the RTP to track down an IRA suspect in an orange mankini........ he's bound to gravitate towards Patttaya/Phuket etc

Only three words: What an idiot!!

W**ker!!

If he doesn't get sent back then the next thing we'll hear about Tommy Diver will be violent trouble with Thai bouncers in Pattaya or one of the islands.

And how will he support himself and stay legal? What a sick joke that is.

Thailand, a paradise for tourists terrorists. Let's hope that some community minded soul notices how much trouble terrorists cause Thailand and helps this one to understand how unwelcome he is in South East Asia.

anyone considered he may not actually be in Thailand ??

Hope I run into him over Christmas. ph34r.png

If I was a criminal on the run and I managed to escape the country that I had a warrant in, I think the last thing I'd do is taunt the police on social media. It's just incredibly dumb.

This guy will get caught, an attention seeker like this will get caught around Bangkok/Pattaya/Phuket. Won't have enough sense to lay low somewhere in Nakon Nowhere or slip into one of the neighboring countries.

Time the RTP grew some balls and tracked this piece of shi!!t down, instead of chasing Burmese , before he smells out Thailand , not the kind of tourist TAT are looking for and mind neither are any decent expats.bah.gif

A nice big one in the media should keep him indoors.

It's a pretty simple explanation.

Unless there is something logged on his Passport records to show he is a wanted man which would be flagged up at Immigration he would gain entry to Thailand just like everyone else,

In fact he would gain entry to nearly every country on the planet

So to summarize what is your point about somehow blaming Thailand for something that is the British Authorities fault for not confiscating or flagging his passport?

I read he went to the cesspit known as Bangkok, how can one gravitate anymore.

I don't understand why they just don't cut off their bank accounts. There is only so much you could withdraw before you flee and eventually the money will run out.

Personally I would rather be reading about Condo Diver.

Erm, has he actually been convicted of anything?

  • Popular Post

Just shoot the bastard, save a lot of time and effort

SCUM

Yes, such as a trial, gathering of evidence, proving guilt.

Why bother with any of that?

After all he's Irish and Catholic, therefore he must be guilty.

If he is guilty of anything, then fine, send him to gaol.

But lets prove it first, hey.

Do not you know it is always Thailands fault in some minds

Is he doing the 'catch me if you can' thingy? coz if he dose, all those who said it before him

are now years in jail....
