Who are the famous people from around the world that call Thailand home ? Has any famous western actors, doctors, writers, businessmen, rock stars have Thai wives or live here full or part time? I just wonder if this country really attracts the cream or is it just the common man and lady who come and live here .....

Seagal pops his head in to jam with Aed Carabao on occasion and can speak a bit of Thai, unless I heard wrong. Though hardly famous, Cummings is here. Beckham and Beyonce, et al, holiday here.

Bangkok is a huge city and has history, Phuket has some very nice beaches and on the higher end of tourist areas as some would say.... You would think that these features would attract more famous people... Or would you ?

High tax rates. Politically unstable. Closed and relatively shallow financial system.

there are some really nice pads in phuket that you would need to be famous in some capacity to afford. many listed in sotherbys international realty.

not sure who actually ends up living in these places though.

Because there are much better first world paradise places to go.

Plenty holiday, almost zero live. I don't understand why anybody would tie up a lot of capital in Thailand.

For sure he does, and he still has the amazing ability to change his appearance (it seems at will). For I have met/seen/heard him talking in many many Pattaya bars.

Thought he would have been a little more low profile though.
