The mnost disgraceful part of the whole proceeding was that Yingluck was not even allowed to hold a press conference afterwards to state her point of view. The army prevented it from happening.

The next job of the puppet parliament is to ban the Puea Thai party because with or without the Shins, PT would win the next election and that, Prayuth and his paymasters cannot countenance.

OR

The most disgraceful part of the whole proceeding was that Yingluck wouldn't answer questions, just read speeches and then wanted to do the same after her impeachment.

The next job of the legally appointed parliament is to ban the Puea Thai party because of the illegal things they did while in power

Banning the Pheu Thai will have no lasting effect vis a vis any future election. Prayuth knows that as do all of his supporters. The only effective measure will be a constitutional change regarding the franchise to vote. Several ideas were floated at the time of the PAD induced closure of the airports, and I am sure that those and other ideas are being considered by those presently drafting the constitution. The favorite idea at that time, was one vote for each legal land owner, but that might not be enough to tip the scales. Another favorite was to also give a vote to each holder of a university degree, but that idea is not very workable, The third idea was to use the Thai income tax roll of Thai citizens as a voters list.

I'm sure that they want to get something done other than merely banning Pheu Thai. i
