Transportation from Phuket to Krabi- What's best?

Recommended Posts

I've got some friends from home visiting in Phuket, and want to meet up with them in Krabi. I'll fly there from BKK, but what can I suggest for them to get to Krabi / Ao Nang area from Bang Tao, and back again after a few days? Is there any bus or car service that anyone can recommend?

They are apprehensive travelers- looking for something safe, sane and reliable. No yaba fueled minivans, and they are too nervous to rent a car and drive themselves.

Thanks in advance.

Get the boat. Book it at a local agent. Generally cheaper than doing it yourself or booking online plus someone to ring if the pickup doesn't arrive.

Ferry to Ao Nang 1000 baht including minivan pick up about 7 am Leaves from Rattsada Pier around 8. Be aware. Rattsada has the most expensive beer in Phuket. So if you are fanging for a few cans at that time of the morning do a BYO.

He's a class act, he probably booked the premium service tickets.

He did say, "including minivan pick up" - that could be the extra 300 baht.

Thanks to all for the suggestions- I had completely forgotten about the ferry service. That will probably be the best way to go.

No that's includes hotel or house pick up by minivan to Rattsada. That picture is obviously at the ferry terminal.

no that picture is from the my friends resort where we regularly book customers onto the boat ,and the van comes and picks them up from resort, sometimes we give them discount if it's a few people going or they book a return trip.

It's from Bang Tao. So that's further from say Rawaii. Ao Nang travel is the name of the company. Just checked the price. It's 700. I must have been thinking the other ferry to Lanta

It's not your resort but you regularly book tickets and you regularly give discounts...sounds odd
