I heard from an owner, it was a candle on a suitcase. He was evacuated.

i heard from another owner that it was thai's b-b-q ing on their balcony at 2 in the morning and the balcony started on fire.

His first comment to me was that he did not know about the couple of cuties down the hall from him - said they looked great

and perky in the kewl night, rushing out in their nighties... hahahahaha

Given the standards for electrical wiring in this country, I'm amazed we don't have more condo fires.

correction... my pal said it was Brits, not thais

Where is a good place to buy a small fire extinguisher, Amorn?

You know most Condos prohibit barbecues on balconies, for good reason. They also prohibit the keeping of "pets",

we all know how that goes here. Other than an electrical outage who in the hell lights an actual candle these days?

A USB powered LED candle from China can be had for a few hundred bhats. I have a wonderful lantern that runs on D-Cell batteries

for such occasions.

And Barbecuing at 2AM? Must have been two sheets to the wind drunk.

Glad to hear nobody was hurt but if I were neighbors to these people I would be freaking out! Who is going to pay for damages?

These "farang who start fire" certainly won't be getting their deposit back, and may be run out of that building, forthwith.

the gas canisters are prohibited, too, and that seems to be more commonly disregarded than the pet rules.
