Hi,

you who are retirees in Hua hin - Cha am, where do you get your life certificate ?

I know two places : my embassy, all in all 120 bahts but it takes at least 10 days ( by post ) , and Hua hin immigration office, 500 bahts

do you have other alternatives ? thanks

To say that I am still alive, otherwise my pension is suspended ; I must send it to my pension fund

go to the home country forum, all the info you need is there.

page 1 uk.pensions life certificate.

if its not from the uk.gov. get your signiture witnessed by,bank manager,if you have a lawyer, dont think your embassey will do it.

Thank you for your answer: I am not from UK, and I don't think that bank, lawyer , will be accepted; my embassy does it but it's not fast ( 2 weeks already )

I have asked in this forum because there is no general rule : in Nonkai, it's free at the amphoe, in Udon Thani, the tourist police does it for 200 bahts

I thought it would be interresting that the many retirees of Hua hin - Cha am ( unless they are all 20 years old, but they seem to be more than 60 biggrin.png ) tell how they manage it because I think that 500 bahts to sign and put a stamp ( I fill all the rest ) is very expensive, 10 seconds work

anyway, I have a German friend, I "ll ask him how he manages the life certificate ( He is 67 years and looks 67 ...) thank you wai.gif

not to sound too harsh but paying 500bht.to have a proffesional person to authenticate a form saying your the person and still alive is a small price to pay.i have to fill in 2 every yr.

if you dont get it done when you receive the form and your pension is stopped,it will cost you more than 500bht.to get it restored.

if you cant afford it or dont want to pay,you shouldnt be here.

That's right, it's better to pay than not to have the documents; if no other way, I " ll do it again ; I have 3 of them to fill every year ( restore my pension costs nothing, just have to wait one month to be refund if I am late to send the certificate )

I can afford the price , just curious to know what people here do

see whats happening globally [debt] all countries are chasing those who are claiming pensions of dead people.

the uk.having contracted the chasing to a third party, who inturn having made a mess of it.

so we have no choice but to grin and bare ibiggrin.png t.
