February 10, 201511 yr Returning to the US for 3 months. ACS from AA insurance will not cover Amercans returning to America.Anyone bought any insurance for this kind of trip?
February 10, 201511 yr you want an STM (short term medical)...it's gone up by about 60% in the last 2 years. Plan on about 170 usd per month, with a 5000 USD deductible. I won't give the name, because they are not TV sponsors and last time I did, I got a crybaby PM asking me not to post. It is listed on the NYSE. I use the same company here, and pay close to 125 usd per month with zero deductible and 1000000 in coverage, with direct payment to RAM, Lanna, Bumrungrad and a few others...but travelling in the US is a whole different can of worms.
February 10, 201511 yr I get travel insurance via BUPA. I've never had to use it so I don't know how good it is. I forget the cost per day but it seemed very reasonable to me.
February 10, 201511 yr Here's 2 options: ACS Globe Partner Travel Insurance Pacific Cross Bon Voyage Travel Plan Both pretty good and not expensive. You can get them from Peter @ AA Insurance Brokers, Chonburi 038-415795

The policy that shows up from a google search is not the same policy it seems. I have the brochure and the coverage is different. It's confusing I know, but confirmed by the broker. This is a special "Outbound from Asia Only" policy.
February 10, 201511 yr Not sure what you mean by ACS but I have had Travel Insurance policies (to U. S.) from AA issued by LMG Pacific Healthcare. Good policy at reasonable costs. The only thing that may preclude you from getting one is an age max.
