Google. Can Color Blind get a Pilots Licence and get even more confused.biggrin.png

Color blindness is not a universally uniform condition - there are varying degrees and types.

Until few years ago the Ishihara test was the standard procedure and ANY sign of color blindness was not acceptable for airline pilots.

The new test - which I was given at the Thai DoLT - involves following lights. It is considered a better way to judge just how color blind someone is.

the result is that a lot more people are now considered OK for becoming pilots.
