BANGKOK: -- Police officials are implementing strict security measures all over Bangkok city following the situations created by ill-intentioned groups.

The Metropolitan Police Commission Spokesperson, Police Colonel Pinit Maneerat (พินิต มณีรัตน์) said that the security measures have been tightened following the situation of bomb plot near the residence of Caretaker Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.

He disclosed that the officials will be stricter regarding investigation in certain areas such as residence of top figures, government units and risky areas. He said the officials will be dispatched to the areas to continuously gather information.

Pol. Col. Pinit has urged ill-intentioned groups to halt creating chaos as such action is deemed harmful for the country.

He referred to the recent bombing attempt that the matter is currently under investigation

What are "ill-intentioned groups" anyway.

Is this a too-literal translation from Thai ?

Are they referring to people who carry placards with "Thaksin out" on them

or these mysterious people who supposedly want to blow him up ?
