Anyone know if there's anywhere on Phuket that I can rent a steam cleaner for upholstery? Don't really want to spend 18,000 baht to buy one.

A few years ago he bought some tools for me to rent them out, so I presume they have all kinds of rentals. Worth a try I'd say.

Don't laugh but I bought one of these http://www.mygroupon.co.th/deals/shopping_en/5-in-1-Steam-Cleaner-June-2013-/717120961 . I didn't buy from groupon just some other site on the net. Cost was about 1600.

It works pretty well, I use it to clean the tiles on my balcony and the internal floors. It works really good but be warned it's very cheaply made and probably won't last that long. When mine does break I will buy another one as I've have gotten good use out of it so far.

Just bought one in Homepro Chalong for 8990 baht. Was told they didn't sell them and as I was about to leave and order on Lazada, there, by the checkout, was a man demonstrating one! Cleaned my watch for me!

Ah! Too late... they're also sold in Central Festival dept. store, near the electric razors, ground floor.
