How to catch a gecko?
Depends upon the size. We get some pretty big ones here over a foot long including tail. We had a large one that used to come out on one of our wooden house supports to eat the insects at night. I had the bright idea of trying to catch it. I went round the back of it and managed to grab it around the neck. Took it up to show the wife the prize but it just went limp. I put it down on the floor and the bugger was just playing dead, it was up and off like lightening into our wardrobe. Luckily / unluckily it didn't completely manage to hide itself so I made a grab for it to let it go outside - The damn thing turned on me like lightening and bit me on the thumb. Whilst not exactly a terrible pain, there was a lot of blood, and trying to get it to let go was a monumental task trying to prise its jaws open. Tough little buggers, great for getting shot of insects, only downside is the bloody racket they make in the middle of the night. -

Now, which Asian country has the tastiest rice, mates?
Try again.... Brown rice versus white rice: A head-to-head comparison November 8, 2024 "Brown rice and white rice can both be part of a healthy diet. But because brown rice retains the bran and germ, it's more nutrient-dense than white rice. For example, brown rice delivers more fiber, magnesium, potassium, iron, and certain B vitamins (B1, B3, B6, and B9) than white rice. [emphasis added] ... But if you're otherwise healthy, a diet rich in fiber-filled whole grains — including brown rice — is linked with a number of health perks, including reduced risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes, and weight management. [emphasis added] White rice has a high glycemic index, in the range of 73 ± 4. Brown rice is categorized as a medium glycemic index food, with a GI of 68 ± 4. Eating white rice is also linked to a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes, while eating brown rice is linked to a lower risk."
