Another "where to get in Phuket" question

Blood pressure monitor, a good one, not too confident with the phone aps, and tired of after coffees and motorcycle ride through Phuket Town having the hospital nurse tell me my blood pressure is up. I think if you're on the roads here enough, you probably get blood pressure spikes.

There is a medical supply shop on Dibruk Rd. Opposite the temple just after the Shell service station.

They have everything from blood sugar monitors to wheel chairs. Even saw the pensioner walkers with a shopping basket up front. I'm pretty sure they have the blood pressure thingy.

Tesco Chalong has them. 1990 baht.

The Tesco Chalong store manager clearly knows his clientèle.

...............oh right, because Rawai has been known to be called "God's waiting room".......that post is about as original as opening a 7/11.

HG thanks for the pic, will go that route.

You may very well get a reliable machine at the cheapest price, but I think it's worth going with a name brand when buying BP monitors.

Omron is generally considered the best for home use. My old one lasted me a good ten years. They have many models to choose from.

Don't buy a wrist monitor.

This time I bought an A&D brand from Santi. It has memory and several other useful functions.

For me the hardest part was finding a suitably sized cuff. I bought the largest size, but ended up having to use the one from my old, Australian bought machine. Check before buying if your arms are any larger than the average Thai.
