25-year-old Abdullah Adel Kadhbahman died at World Bungee Jump last Wednesday after the safety equipment he was wearing came off.

PHUKET: -- The owner of World Bungee Jump, where 25-year-old Abdullah Adel Kadhbahman died last Wednesday (May 27), and the person who attached the safety harnesses to his ankles, are likely to be charged with negligence in causing another person̕s death according to Patong police.

203 kgs of marijuana seized in Bangkok

BANGKOK: -- Metropolitan police arrested two men and a woman in a sting operation and seized 203 kilogrammes of dried and compressed marijuana.

Police said the suspects were arrested at 1:20 pm Thursday while they were delivering the drug to an undercover policeman who offered to buy the drug for Bt1.2 million.

Thailand’s foreign reserves drop to US$158.5 billion

Fire at Waroros market in Chiang Mai

CHIANGMAI: -- A huge fire broke out late this afternoon and by 7 pm Friday, it was still raging.
Five 5-storey row shop houses were gutted in the fire which broke out at about 5 pm at the 100-year old Waroros market or known as Kard Luang.

Operation launched to crack down on illegal rubber plantations in Kanchanaburi
