Chiang Mai prepares for mobile Cabinet meeting

CHIANG MAI, 13 June 2015 (NNT) – Chiang Mai province is now preparing to accommodate the 2nd mobile Cabinet meeting, which will survey provincial agencies’ proceedings in accordance with the government’s policy.

The Assistant Secretary of the Cabinet Suchart Vipasthawaeh along with other officials yesterday arrived in Chiang Mai to prepare the location of the second official mobile Cabinet meeting set to take place on 29-30 June 2015.

On this occasion, the Assistant Secretary of the Cabinet and the Governor of Chiang Mai Suriya Prasatbuntitya held a meeting with officials from the military and police on security protection for the mobile Cabinet meeting.

The working group also surveyed various key locations where the Cabinet is expected to visit, including the International Convention and Exhibition Centre where the meeting will take place, the Green Lake Resort where the Cabinet members will stay, and the Waroros Market where the Cabinet is also expected to visit.

In the upcoming meeting, Chiang Mai province is set to present many development projects to the Cabinet, including the mass transit development, infrastructure development for transport connectivity, the second Chiang Mai Airport construction project, connectivity development projects in border areas, the development and obstacles of the Khlong Mae Ka canal, water sources renovation, the complete waste management system, and the Chiang Mai bicycle lane project.

Did not visit Loi Khro Road, Mad Dogs or Miguel's BUT they did check out Waroros Market for any fire sell items.whistling.gif

They want to rehab the Mae Kah !!! yes please do.. not just talk, what was once the cities drinking water coming from springs is now a black water open sewer. Identify ALL the pollution sources and stop them, return the canal to something beautiful and clean. Why am I skeptical?

The agenda already decided and the outcomes too.

So what's the point.

Second Chiang Mai Airport? seriously?

Why not do up the existing one? It's not exactly banked up with flights, and although the facilities are reasonable from a user perspective (easy and quick vs anything flash) if they actually doubled the gates they wouldn't have a capacity problem.
