Departures level is all you really need to know.

There's only one terminal and lot's of screens showing in which row the relevant counter for your flight is located.

Thanks and what level is that ,I will arrive by taxi and want to tell driver closest gate as I have 55kg of stuff,I know Thai are at start of Alphabet ,are there porters at the drop off?

Driver will automatically take you to the correct level, but the taxi will have to stop where they let him, plenty of baggage carts but not seen a porter (never looked for one). Driver will help you load the cart (ensure a nice tip).

No worry. Taxi will bring you to footpath at level 4 and from there it is an easy task with a baggage cart.

Flew Thai on Sunday and do think you are correct . I also think they used H too . In the middle of the departures anyway so get the cab to drop you off near gate 2.
