Hey folks, would like to know if there are any places in Ubon area that sell Miso soup pastes and real ( organic brown rice ) ( no medicine ).

I have never heard of Miso soup but I would give it a try!

I live in Nakhon Phanom and I've found miso paste in the refrigerated section (by tofu) at the Big C market. I've also picked it up at Top's Market when at Robinson's Mall in Mukdahan and Sakhon Nakhon. I haven't seen it at Lotus or Mackro though. Happy hunting...

You could try Tops at Central Plaza here in Ubon.

If you live in Ubon why not just ask in the Japanese Restaurants there. Im sure they will like to help you.

Japanese Restaurants

Fuku Japanese - Located on Nakhon Ban Rd., just 100 meters south of Uppalian Rd. Good Japanese menu and plenty of space.

Arigato Japanese - Another small shop with a menu that includes Japanese style steaks. The prices are good. Sometimes the beef is a bit tough so you might want to avoid it. Located on Burapha nai soi 1, a small alley just behind Laithong Hotel.

Utake Japanese - A small shop but clean and a good menu. The food and prices are reasonable. Located on Sukha Uppatham Rd on the corner and entrance of Soi 15.

I order online from Good Karma in Bangkok, they ship anywhere. You'll find their ad in in the Classifieds forum, many products. Truly organic. Miso in Villa Market had 21% Msg so I'm guessing any main supermarket would be the same. Japanese restaurants won't fork out for organic either ..

Not sure about the miso but we picked up some organic brown rice in warin. Pic attached
