I need one/two packets of solvite paste to hang vinyl wallpaper, is there anywhere in Thailand that sells it!!!!

the wife bought some at home pro,very expensive.[korat] easy to make your own.

Faced the same problem and could not find any anywhere ( of the type you get in the U.K. ....powder that needs water added )

However, found some stuff ready mixed up that comes in a bottle which worked perfectly. Available at most DIY stores. I guess its what the Thais use . Says glue on the bottle but its a strong paste.

When hanging wallpaper in Thailand you not only need to apply the paste to the paper but also the wall since in this heat it dries out pretty fast while you are applying it..

Went to home pro and they suggested latex!!!

Anyway had some curtains made and the Thai guy suggested a paste from China which you mix with a bonding type glue you mix it with quite expensive but done the job and as denim says you should paste wall as well.

The paste was called methstar about 380 baht but job done.

Nice job Blue Eyes. Whenever Thais see any wall paper I have put up they ask who did it and how much was charged . When I tell them I did it myself it always surprises them. They have it in the heads that it is something very difficult to do.

The wallpaper came from UK via my suitcase, and it was for the mother in laws room not my taste but she loves it. And your wrong crossy your sister is far from mad if she can run like that, not sure if I could have done that in my prime.

Now I think the MIL could beat me in a race and she is slooooooow.

By the way j think next time I will give denims paste a go, how many rolls to the bottle does it hang??? And how much a bottle.
