Thai gov't gives advantages to Americans starting a business?

Featured Replies

Before we get started, I am really a Californian, so please don't think of me as an American exactly (tough to be an American overseas).

I heard somewhere that the Thai government gives advantages or makes it easy for Americans to set up a business in Thailand. Does anyone have information on this? My non-Thai wife and I want to start a small clothing manufacturing and design company that will sell mostly wholesale to local or foreign buyers. Does anyone have a Thai government link on the process? Anyone set up a business like this? What were the costs to get it all set up? Thanks guys.

I did. But it doesn't go into costs associated with getting it set up.

U.S. Embassy, American Services has all the info, call them.

If you want a copy of the Treaty PM me and I will send it to you.

The cost to set it up is stupid expensive. You can do it your self, I did.

Again American Services in the building next to the embassy.

Many advantages especially when importing and exporting to the U.S.

No nominees needed, just 7 American investors.
