Anyone know any nice places to rent around Thewet/ Thanon Samsen area in Bangkok?

I'm looking for somewhere you can get your own telephone and has some decent facilities. 10,000 a month would be ok but not much more. Any ideas?

I think must be boring because I always give the same advice.

Just ride, or walk or get a motorcycle and go up and down the streets looking for "For Rent" signs in the neighborhood you like. (helps to have someone with you that can read Thai). Also stop at every apartment building that looks OK to you and ask the guard if they have rooms free. If they do most times the guard will have the key and just take you to look. Or he takes you to the office.

I spent time in that area teaching at a school near the Wat and really liked it. A little far from things but nice area. Especially near the river.
