Report: Extension Based Upon Marriage Application At Ubon Immigration

Was as easy as ever. No additional paperwork needed.

Took a little over 2 hours from arrival to departure. Arrived just before 1 pm opening time. Just put passport and paperwork on the counter to start things.

Only one other person doing an application. After they finished it was just my wife and i there.

Used an income affidavit to prove income dated late April. which means they still honor the 6 month rule. No need for back up proof such as bank book and etc.

No TM 30 form needed.

My wife asked about the pending move of the office to Sirindhorn. Answer to question about when was a laugh (more of a chuckle) and long time. So no worry about the extra 27 kilometers trip to get there for a while.

Now a trip back next month to get the extension stamp. Will also be doing a 90 day report. I will also be getting a re-entry permit for a short trip to Laos to get a new entry so I can do online reporting ( see my topic here.http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/824394-reply-from-immigration-about-message-to-contact-your-office-when-trying-to-do-online-9o-day-reports/ )

It seems that things there are going smoother than elsewhere ... good for you
cheers

I bet they knew you are a Moderator at Thaivisa and that's why it was that easy 55555555

Edit: You are more then welcome to try the extension at KCI ;)

It was my 8th application at the same office so that might of been part of the reason.

No thanks for KCI. I am a permanent Ubonite.

I actually thought that 2 hours sounded like a long time with only one person before him.

i do the same extension at Amnat and it's always taken me around 2 hours to complete, quickest ever was 1 hour 30.

Marriage extension at KCI is also about 2 hours. Mt last was one&half hours. BTW free coffee.biggrin.png

The 2 hours was not all that bad. It is just that they check and double check all the paperwork. The first officer went through and checked everything and even highlighted the info on my passport photo page and my wife's ID card.

I think they are doing all the checks they might do after the application and under consideration stamp has been done that they would do before sending the application to division 4 in Korat for approval.

The other customer appeared to be a carry over from the morning. She went straight to an officer that already had her paperwork.

It seems that things there are going smoother than elsewhere ... good for you

cheers

well if anyone is going to get the paperwork right it's ubonjoe biggrin.png
