Hi!

I am going to the Montien Riverside hotel...

And I would appreciate any info about the hotel + area :D

Here are some things that I _really_ would like to know;

-What is the best way to get to the shopping centres/areas?

-What is the best way to get to the tempels/palaces?

-Where to eat in evening (vegetarian dishes)?

-Is there dress code in the hotel?

And any other info is welcome also :o

You are right at the river. You can take the boat to visit temples. Ask for it at the Hotel, there is a tourist booth

There is no dress code in the Hotel exept for Gala dinners.

Montien Hotel is not far of the Silom Shopping area. However cant reached by food. I suggest you take a taxi to the sky train and take it from there. Sky train stops and all major shopping area's as Bangkok does not have a true City Center.

It's a nice (4 to 4 1/2*) hotel but it's also isolated; there's nothing (shopping) within walking distance. The area itself is boring except for the beautiful riverview.

You need taxi's to go somewhere.

If, just if, you have the opportunity to change your booking to the Montien City Hotel I would suggest to do that since there's a LOT more action around that sister hotel (Surawongse Road).

I stayed at both Hotels and last time, early this month, at the River Side; wish I had booked in the Montien City though.

Good luck
