I have a hot water heater under our kitchen sink that was installed by the store that sold it. I've had 3 hoses like this explode over the last couple years. Did they use the wrong kind of hose?

Yes possible. I also have had hoses break like this. Finally found a product in Global House that is rated for higher pressure and specifically hotter water. Don't know the name of the brand but now in a couple years no popped hoses on the hot side

Global House sell a U.S. brand, sorry I don't know the name,it is around the 500/600 baht in comparison to the cheap ones in the picture which have a tendency to burst and cost 89 baht.

It is in fact upon inspection a Fluidmaster.

Here.

Polymer core and stainless steel braiding.

But mine like yours no doubts are both screwed fittings not plastic one end like the picture

That photo is a toilet feed (which is what Fluidmaster is master of). It is not designed for hot water to a kitchen sink but should work great for toilet (although in 40 years here have never had the normal American Standard or Cotto plastic hose break).

Yes that's correct,I've never had an issue with the cheaper plastic hoses for toilets, sinks etc only running cold water.

But my water heater is 8 KW and is scolding hot that's why I have a decent hose only on the outlet side of the water heater of course.

The hose that I have purchased from Global is the same as below.
